Doing “the work of the ministry” is not an option for those who follow Christ.  For believers each one has been given a gift to serve the Body of Christ and each one of us have been commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. As you commit yourself to doing the work of the ministry, you will be the hands and the feet (an example of Christ) when you use your time, talent, and treasure for the glory of God by serving others. Therefore, we encourage all of our members to pray and to participate in one of the following ministries below.

1. The Lord’s Supper  is celebrated at Grace Church the first Sunday of the month. Volunteers are needed to prepare and to clean up after the Lord’s Supper together.
2. Greeters With just a friendly smile and a warm handshake, you can set the stage for people to have a great worship experience as soon as they arrive at the front door.
3. Ushers  This is a position of servanthood leadership. The ushers serve by helping visitors find seats, they assist in baptisms and funerals, and they have the responsibility of collecting the offering.
4. Hospitality Ministry Do you love to make people feel welcome in your home? Use your gift of hospitality to invite visitors and new members into your home so that they might have a smoother transition into life at Grace Church.
5. Mercy Ministry Do you love making meals, writing cards, and serving those who are hurting?  Use your gift of mercy to serve those within the church who are in need.
6. S.W.A.T. Team “Service With a Tool” Your skills can put action to words and show the community that Christians are “doers of the Word.” The SWAT Team helps folks who aren’t able to do minor repairs on their homes. If you have a skill, supplies, equipment, or a few hours a month, and/or would love to serve on a team to reach out to the people in the community, you can use this skill to be a blessing to someone in need and a powerful witness for Jesus.
7. Worship/Praise Team Ministry The Worship Ministry leads worship at Sunday meetings, corporate prayer meetings, and other special events. To be part of the worship team, you must audition with your instrument or voice. If you have been gifted by God with a singing voice or you have the ability to play an instrument, you could be key part of the worship experience at Grace Church.
8. Prayer Ministry At Grace Church we know that there are no successes in the life of the church without prayer.  If you understand this and would like to be involved in praying for this church plant, then this ministry is for you!  Those involved in this ministry keep members updated on prayer request via e-mail and facebook, they pray for the church individually, and they organize the church to pray for ongoing needs.
9. Outreach & Missions Team Do you have a heart for evangelism?  Use your passion for the lost in coordinating outreach events as well as mission trips for the church body to participate in.
