Parent/Youth Ministry Philosophy 

We believe that parents have primary responsibility for the biblical training and discipleship of their children through the teenage years. Parents play an irreplaceable role in the forming of Christian character in the lives of their “teens”. Effective parenting guides youth beyond family into commitment, membership, service, and fruitful involvement in the local church. Pastoral care is an important means of grace to equip parents in effectively discipling and preparing their teens for life as mature, God-honoring adults. The responsibility of the church is to support and supplement parents as they seek to direct their children, while also providing an essential teaching voice that offers biblical clarity on family issues.

In our desire to support the families of youth, we provide pastoral care and counseling for parents and teens, parent/teen small groups, service & ministry opportunities, youth activities & socials. We are excited about what God is already doing and will yet do in and through our youth ministry.

What We Are About
Table Talk Youth Ministry is a parent-based youth ministry designed to encourage parents in leading their youth to become radical followers of Christ.  Our youth ministry also seeks to help parents in developing their young people to become God-centered, spiritually discerning, mature believers who are characterized by a passionate love for God and a love for others – initiated by the Spirit and demonstrated through living exemplary lives in the areas of speech, life, love, faith, and purity (1 Tim. 4:12).

What We Pursue
Table Talk Youth Ministries seeks to equip junior high and high school students with God’s Word through a small group setting by meeting in homes. Whether we are studying through a book of the Bible, a particular doctrine, or a relevant book study, the home group provides a context for our students to apply biblical truths and purse genuine fellowship with other families and teenagers of like mindedness.

Our Mission is to…

    • EXALT CHRIST in all that we say and do. We desire to partner with parents in helping teens see that all of life is to be lived for the glory and praise of Jesus Christ.

    • EQUIP PARENTS to effectively train and disciple their teens in the gospel and prepare their teens for life as God-honoring adults who have a supreme love for Jesus Christ, a devotion to scripture, a passion for the local church, and an evangelic heart to reach out to the lost.
    • ESTABLISH CONTEXTS where youth can encounter the living God and experience the transforming power of the gospel through a variety of meetings, outreaches, conferences and service opportunities all within the context of the local church.
    • ENCOURAGE youth not to be spectators and consumers but to be active participants in the body of Christ.
