Children’s Ministry Philosophy

At Grace Church, we believe God has designed parents with the primary responsibility for the spiritual nurture of their children. The church should not usurp or hinder the parent’s’ role in raising their children in the instruction and admonition of the Lord. Rather, the church ministers alongside the parents, intentionally seeking ways to equip and sharpen the parents in discipling their children. The gospel ministry that occurs at Grace Church each week represents the corporate expression of what already takes place in our homes daily.  We use curriculum and send home worksheets designed to enable Christ-centered parenting to flourish both inside and outside the local gathering (see Deuteronomy 6:4-9, 20-25, Psalm 78:5-6, Proverbs 1:8-9, Ephesians 6:1-4, and Colossians 3:20-21).

Our Goal

At Grace Church, our goal is to come along side parents in helping equip the next generation to delight in God’s glory and declare that glory among the nations.

To that end we focus on:

• Imparting biblical truth even to the youngest of children
• Emphasizing a God-centered view of all things
• Encouraging enduring faith in God through Jesus Christ
• Teaching children to participate gladly and actively in the global purposes of God

Time

Our Children’s Bible Study class begins at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday.  Parents and families are welcome and encouraged to sit with their children during the time of teaching to assist their children in learning about the truths of God’s Word.
