What To Expect

Where and When?

Grace Church begins each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the tan building next to Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.  You can find directions on our “Contact Us” page.

What Does a Sunday Morning Look Like at Grace Church?

We view the Sunday morning gatherings as the highlight of the week, for it is there that the church gathers to corporately worship and fellowship with one another.  These Sunday morning services are characterized by the worship of God through prayer, song, and the preaching of God’s Word.  In addition, once a month we set aside a special time in our services to remember what Christ has done for us by celebrating the Lord’s Supper. After service, you will also find many more opportunities to continue in fellowship.  Whether it be hanging around and visiting after the sermon, sharing a meal together at a local restaurant, or enjoying our ever so often “pot providence” lunch at the church building, you will always find us enjoying each other’s fellowship.

What to Wear?

At Grace Church, we believe that it’s the heart that matters, not what you wear.  Therefore, when you come you will find those who like to dress up and those who like to dress casual.  In fact, even our pastor typically wears jeans to preach in!  There is no need to fear being judged by what you wear.  Feel free to come in what’s comfortable for you, and you’ll fit right in.

Do You Have a Children’s Ministry?

Yes!  The Children’s Ministry (“Children of Grace”) is for ages 2 to 5th grade.  We have a speacial time on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:45 for children to learn biblical concepts on their level.  We have interactive, fun, and theologically rich lessons that will encourage and equip children with biblical truths.  At Grace Church we believe strongly in equipping and encouraging families to study and share the Word of God together.  Therefore, we welcome and encourage parents to join their children during this time of Bible study.

Do You Have a Nursery?

Due to our current facilities, we do not have a room to offer a nursery during our worship services.  Please don’t let this intimidate you, because we don’t mind when babies cry or children are noisy in the worship service.  In fact, we love to see families worshiping together.

What Style of Music Do You Sing?

Our music is focused on truths of the Gospel rather than any particular style. We sing songs from a wide range of styles . . . from classic hymns to contemporary worship songs. We sing songs from newer artists like Chris Tomlin and Bob Kauflin, to the older artist like Isaac Watts and John Newton.  To sum it up, the songs we sing are selected for the purpose of drawing the attention away from ourselves and to the One who created us.
